A Muslim lady has been booked by Murud police in Raigad for posting an audio message on social media asking for a boycott of Hindu businessmen. She posted the message allegedly after BJP MLA Nitesh Rane stated within the space in the course of the Ganpati pageant that no enterprise and property offers be made with Muslims. Murud police have booked the lady for creating enmity between teams and have served discover to her.The cyber cell is investigating the case.
The lady posted the message three days after Rane’s remarks in Ulwe, and it went viral on Sept 14, police stated. Rane had been booked by the police after he made the remarks.
There have been back-to-back incidents of stone-pelting within the space within the second week of this month, after which police bandobast has been in place. Two youngsters allegedly threw stones at a Ganpati immersion procession, injuring two ladies, on Sept 12. The following day, stones have been pelted at two homes, inflicting injury.
