A Muslim girl has been booked by Murud police in Raigad for posting an audio message on social media asking for a boycott of Hindu businessmen. She posted the message allegedly after BJP MLA Nitesh Rane mentioned within the space in the course of the Ganpati competition that no enterprise and property offers be made with Muslims. Murud police have booked the girl for creating enmity between teams and have served discover to her.The cyber cell is investigating the case.
The girl posted the message three days after Rane’s remarks in Ulwe, and it went viral on Sept 14, police mentioned. Rane had been booked by the police after he made the remarks.
