‘We have laid out some plans…’: Rohit Sharma on bowlers’ workload management in packed Test schedule | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: When India kicks off a heavy Check schedule towards Bangladesh on Thursday, skipper Rohit Sharma claimed that they’ve plans in place to regulate the workload of their pacers.
The primary of India’s ten Check matches will happen in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday. Gamers like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj might discover themselves taking over loads of work over the course of 15 weeks, significantly in Australia from November to January.
“We now have laid out some plans on how we’re going to handle these bowlers. However once more, all of it relies on the workload that has been carried by them in these video games. So yeah, we are going to monitor that. I believe we have now achieved that fairly nicely. Even once we performed towards England [at home earlier this year], we managed to get Jasprit Bumrah one Check match off. We managed to offer Siraj one Check match off,” Rohit mentioned through the pre-series press convention towards Bangladesh in Chennai, as per ANI.
The Rohit-led crew will host three Assessments towards New Zealand following the conclusion of their two-match Check collection towards Bangladesh on October 1. After the collection concludes in early November, India will go to Australia for an eight-week stint consisting of 5 Check matches.
“So all of it relies on how the physique feels at that specific time, what the [strength and conditioning] is, and what the physios really feel about them when is the best time to offer them a break from the sport, after which take the decision,” he added.
