Vadodara floods helped eight crocodiles flee zoo in August | India News – Times of India



The reptiles swam into Vishwamitri that flows just some ft away from their enclosure.

VADODARA: Not everybody in Vadodara is ruing over the current floods that introduced woes for Barodians. Crocodiles in Sayajibaug zoo, for one, as eight fully-grown reptiles escaped when the flood waters gushed into town within the final week of Aug.
The reptiles swam into Vishwamitri that flows just some ft away from their enclosure.
“Initially, we did not realise this, because the flood waters have been very excessive.When the waters began receding, we could not see the crocodiles. We thought they might be someplace within the park. However they’ve all escaped,” Pratyush Patankar, Sayajibaug zoo curator, mentioned.
