A person has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district for allegedly murdering his 22-year-old niece, with whom he was having an extramarital affair, as a result of she wished to marry another person. When she didn’t return, her father Ramsagar Pandey registered a police case in opposition to Manikant, accusing him of taking his daughter away. The police took Manikant in custody and began questioning him.
District Police Chief Neeraj Kumar Jadaun stated that the accused instructed police throughout questioning that he was in an affair with Mansi for 2 years now. “Lately, Mansi instructed him that she desires to marry another person. This infuriated Manikant and he choked her to dying,” he stated.
One other cop stated that Manikant threw Mansi’s telephone in a shifting bus to mislead the cops. Police stated the physique has been recovered from the underconstruction constructing and despatched for autopsy.
The sufferer’s father, Ramsagar Pandey, stated he dropped off Mansi at Manikant’s residence round 3 pm on Monday. “We went to our native village, then I went on Lucknow. On Wednesday, he (Manikant) referred to as me and stated Mansi is lacking and her telephone is switched off. He instructed me that Mansi has eloped, however I suspected him and filed a grievance.”
“Mansi’s wedding ceremony had been fastened for November 27. He didn’t need that to occur and had been asking her to not get married,” he stated.
