5 folks have been arrested for allegedly throwing stones on the Vande Bharat Specific practice throughout its trial run in Chhattisgarh, officers stated immediately. The practice, scheduled to run from Chhattisgarh’s Durg to Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam, was set to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

The stones had been pelted on the Vande Bharat train on the Bagbahara railway station whereas it was coming back from Visakhapatnam Friday morning, officers stated.

No accidents had been reported however the multi-layered home windows of three coaches of the practice had been broken.

The accused, recognized as Shiv Kumar Baghel, Devendra Kumar, Jeetu Pandey, Sonwani, and Arjun Yadav, broke the home windows of three coaches of the practice, C2-10, C4-1, C9-78, officers stated.

A case has been filed in opposition to the accused — residents of Bagbahara — beneath the Railways Act, 1989.

He may even launch Vande Bharat trains on the next routes – Tatanagar to Patna, Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, and Pune to Hubballi.
