NEW DELHI: In a giant growth for India’s atomic vitality programme, the nation’s most superior and complicated nuclear reactor, 500 MWe sodium-cooled prototype quick breeder reactor (PFBR), positioned at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu, has lastly bought approval from atomic regulator Atomic Power Regulatory Board (AERB) to start out operationalising the reactor by loading nuclear gasoline after which initiating the chain response.
