Rape accused falls into pond while trying to flee police custody in Assam; dies | India News – Times of India

Sarma had vowed to convey the perpetrators to justice, stating that the “criminals who dared to commit such a heinous crime towards a minor Hindu woman won’t be spared by the regulation”.
“The horrific incident at Dhing, involving a minor, is a criminal offense towards humanity and has struck our collective conscience. We’ll NOT SPARE anybody & BRING the perpetrators to JUSTICE. I’ve directed @DGPAssamPolice to go to the location and guarantee swift motion towards such monsters,” the Assam chief minister wrote on X.
