A catchy parody track mocking former US President Donald Trump‘s false declare about immigrants consuming pets in Springfield, Ohio, has gone viral on the web. The music video, titled “Consuming the Cats” by South African band Kiffness, options an edited audio clip of Trump’s debunked assertion set to a Reggaeton-style beat, full with auto-tuned meows and woofs.
The track begins with Trump’s edited audio saying, “They’re consuming the canines/ they’re consuming the cats/ they’re consuming the pets of the individuals who dwell there.”
Lead singer and producer David Scott then begins singing whereas taking part in an electrical keyboard, pleading with the individuals of Springfield to not eat his cat and canine, and suggesting various meals choices.
“Individuals of Springfield, please don’t eat my cat/ why would you do this / eat one thing else,” Scott sings.
“Individuals of Springfield, please don’t eat my canine/ right here’s a catalog of different issues to eat,” he added whereas holding a sheet of paper that had footage of meals gadgets together with an egg, bread and extra.

Through the catchy hook, Scott sings “whoa whoa whoa” and “meow meow meow” as a husky and a cat seem, their barks and mews auto-tuned in concord.
The music video has already garnered over 267,000 views on X, with followers praising the track as a hilarious fall “banger” and calling it “sensible.”
The video concludes with a message saying that the proceeds from streaming the track might be donated to the Clark County SPCA, which assists pets in Springfield.
Trump’s false declare about Haitian migrants consuming canines and cats in Springfield was made throughout a televised debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday. ABC Information’ David Muir fact-checked the assertion, reporting that town’s supervisor had acquired no credible reviews of pets being harmed or abused by the immigrant group.
