PM Modi to visit Brunei and Singapore in September; check details | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Brunei and Singapore in early September, the official spokesperson of ministry of exterior affairs Randhir Jaiswal mentioned on Friday. PM Modi’s go to to Brunei is scheduled from September 3-4 and it’ll mark the first-ever bilateral go to by an Indian Prime Minister to the nation, Jaiswal mentioned throughout a weekly media briefing.
Jaiswal knowledgeable that PM Modi’s go to to Brunei comes on the invitation of Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
“Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, is scheduled to go to Brunei Darussalam, throughout third and 4th September, 2024. This will probably be first-ever bilateral go to by an Indian Prime Minister to Brunei,” Jaiswal mentioned.
He additional added that PM Modi’s go to to Brunei will coincide with “fortieth anniversary of firm of diplomatic ties between India and Brunei.”
PM Modi after concluding his go to to Bruneir, will journey to Singapore from September 4-5. He obtained an invite from his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong.
“From Brunei, Prime Minister, will thereafter go to Singapore on 4th and fifth September, 2024, on the invitation of Prime Minister His Excellency Mr Lawrence Wong of Singapore. The announcement of PM Modi’s go to to Singapore comes on the heels of the second India-Singapore Ministerial Dialogue (ISMR). The dialogue which was held on August 26, marked the presence of a number of Indian ministers, together with Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
