BENGALURU: Inside days of the jobs-for-locals controversy, Karnataka is within the midst of one other wrangle over labour. Karnataka State IT/ITeS Workers Union (Kitu) mentioned Saturday the Karnataka govt plans to extend the working hours in IT and ITES (IT-enabled companies) sector to 14 hours a day, from the utmost 10 hours (together with additional time) that is allowed now.Sources within the state govt acknowledged there’s a transfer to lift the per-day restrict to 12-14 hours.
