He saved one of the best for the final as his sixth and closing try measured 89.49m.
The occasion was received by Anderson Peters of Grenada, the two-time world champion and Paris Olympics bronze medallist, with an enormous throw of 90.61m in his second spherical.
Julian Weber of Germany clinched the third place with a throw of 87.08m.
Chopra, who has been coping with a persistent groin harm, received a silver medal on the Paris Olympics on August 8 with a throw of 89.45m.
This achievement follows his historic gold medal victory on the Tokyo Olympics three years prior.
