Elon Musk’s microblogging website X has been ordered to pay compensation to a former worker in an unfair dismissal case. Based on Fortune, the social media platform, previously often called Twitter, was ordered to pay over $602,640 (roughly Rs 5 crore) to Gary Rooney, who was fired in December 2022 after Mr Musk’s takeover of the corporate. Mr Rooney held a senior procurement function on the time of his dismissal. He had been employed by X since September 2013.
