Mehbooba Mufti cancels J&K election campaign for a day after death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasarallah | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Individuals’s Democratic social gathering chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday introduced that she won’t maintain a marketing campaign for ongoing J&Ok meeting elections for a day in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon following the dying of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasarallah and different martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza.
Taking to X, the previous J&Ok chief minister stated that her social gathering stands with the folks of Palestine and Lebanon within the hour of grief.
“Cancelling my marketing campaign tomorrow in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon & Gaza, particularly Hassan Nasarullah,” Mufti stated.

“We stand with the folks of Palestine & Lebanon on this hour of immense grief & exemplary resistance,” she added.
The Israeli navy introduced on Saturday that it “eradicated” Hassan Nasrallah, the long-time chief of the Hezbollah militant group, in a precision airstrike in Beirut on yesterday. Within the assertion, the IDF declared, “Hassan Nasrallah will not have the ability to terrorise the world.”
The strike reportedly focused a gathering of Hezbollah leaders at their headquarters in Dahiyeh, a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital.
In the meantime, elections in Jammu and Kashmir are being held in three phases. Voting for twenty-four seats was held within the first section on September 18. The following section of polling for 26 seats was held on September 25.
Voting for the third section can be held on October 1 whereas outcomes can be declared on October 8.
