BENGALURU: A 70-year-old man was murdered in rural Bengaluru district Friday allegedly as a result of his well-intentioned piece of recommendation in opposition to spitting on the highway didn’t sit properly with the killer.
Septuagenarian Sidappa was discovered lifeless behind his residence in Madanayakanahalli. The accused, Puneet Nayak (23) was arrested.
Probe revealed that Sidappa had reprimanded Nayak a number of occasions up to now for spitting tobacco-mixed paan on the highway and discarding a rubbish bag inappropriately, maybe hoping to instil some sense of civic duty within the younger man.
Following an identical episode Friday, Nayak reacted violently to Sidappa’s recommendation and in rage, hacked him with a machete.
