India’s Reliance wins bid for govt incentives to make EV batteries

Reliance Industries has won a bid under an incentives program which helps EV battery manufacturing, an announcement from the Indian authorities stated on Wednesday (September 4, 2024).

Earlier this 12 months, seven firms submitted bids to arrange native manufacturing items for the manufacturing of superior chemistry cells, or ACCs, underneath the federal government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.

Reliance could make upto 10 gigawatts of ACCs, the assertion stated.
