NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Fee on Wednesday appointed IAS officer Preeti Sudan as its new chairperson. Sudan will take cost on August 1.
The 1983 batch IAS from Karnataka cadre can have tenure until April 2025. She additionally served as Union meals secretary.
Sudan is second girl to be chief of UPSC. Earlier R M Bathew was chairperson in 1996.
