NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Mohammed Yunus, who earlier within the day took oath because the chief advisor to Bangladesh interim authorities.
Taking to X (previously Twitter), Modi stated, “My finest needs to Professor Muhammad Yunus on the belief of his new obligations.”

Mohammed Yunus, 84, took oath as head of the interim authorities at Bangabhaban, official residence of Bangladesh president, as Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to India on August 5 after weeks-long scholar led protests pressured her out of energy.

“I will uphold, support and protect the constitution,” Yunus said during the ceremony.
