KULLU: The police in Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh have registered a case of sexual harassment towards controversial Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) MLA and former meeting deputy speaker Hans Raj, who allegedly despatched obscene messages and demanded nude footage whereas chatting on WhatsApp with a 20-year-old lady.
A case beneath sections 75 (sexual harassment by demanding sexual favours, displaying pornography or making sexually colored remarks) and 351 (2) (legal intimidation) of the BNS has been registered towards 41-year-old Hans Raj within the ladies police station, Chamba, on the grievance of the girl, who’s the daughter of a BJP employee.
The FIR was registered on August 9 however the case has come to mild now.
The complainant, whose father is a BJP functionary, has alleged that MLA Hans Raj demanded her nude images whereas chatting along with her on-line and likewise despatched her obscene messages.
In keeping with the grievance, each time she requested the MLA about some pending works, he would ask her to “meet him in individual after which do no matter” he needed her to.
The girl has additionally accused the MLA and his supporters of pressuring her to delete her chats with him and of threatening her.
The complainant has added that if something occurs to her or her household, the MLA and his supporters can be accountable “as these folks can do something to delete the chat”.

When contacted, Chamba superintendent of police Abhishek Yadav mentioned that the girl’s assertion has been recorded within the case.
“The investigations on this case are on. Whereas the sufferer’s assertion has been recorded, the accused can be requested to affix the investigations as is the set process in such circumstances,” the SP mentioned.
