Bharti Airtel to own over 50% stake in Indus Towers after share buyback

“Bharti Airtel will maintain over a 50% stake in Indus Towers after completion of the continued ₹2,640-crore share buyback scheme of the telecom infrastructure agency,” a regulatory submitting stated on Wednesday (August 28, 2024).

Telecom infrastructure main Indus Towers commenced the buyback of over 5.67 crore shares at ₹465 apiece on August 14, representing roughly 2.107% of whole variety of fairness shares within the paid-up share capital of the corporate.

“By way of communication dated August 27, 2024 issued by Indus Towers, the shareholding of the corporate in Indus Towers will enhance to greater than 50% (i.e. about 50.005%) of its paid-up share capital, topic to completion of related actions inside stipulated timelines for the stated Buyback”, Bharti Airtel stated in a regulatory submitting.

Indus Towers has set August 28 because the final date for completion of settlement of bids by the Bombay Inventory Change (BSE).
