Babar Azam had returned to captain the lads’s cricket staff in March after the PCB designated him to guide the staff in ODIs and T20s as a part of a “strategic transfer.”
He first took on the T20 captaincy in 2019 and later turned the captain for each Check and ODI codecs in 2020. Babar stepped down in November after Pakistan’s disappointing efficiency within the Asia Cup and the 50-over World Cup. Shaheen Shah Afridi changed him because the T20 captain, whereas Shan Masood took over because the Check captain.
