VIJAYAWADA: At the very least 18 staff suffered accidents in a blast at a chemical manufacturing unit within the Particular Financial Zone in Rambilli mandal of Anakapalli district on Wednesday.
The blast was reported in the course of the lunch hours from a reactor on the Escientia chemical manufacturing unit premises.
The injured have been shifted to the NTR hospital and a non-public hospital.
Andhra Pradesh house minister Vangalapudi Anitha instructed the district collector and SP to go to the blast website and supply higher therapy to the injured staff.
