NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court used extraordinary energy on Monday and directed IIT Dhanbad to grant admission to a Dalit youth who misplaced his seat after lacking the deadline to deposit charges.
The courtroom was listening to the case of an 18-year-old pupil Atul Kumar who misplaced his hard-earned seat in IIT Dhanbad after he narrowly missed the deadline to deposit Rs 17,500 as an acceptance charge after clearing the celebrated examination in his final try.
The Supreme Courtroom exercised its energy beneath Article 142 and directs that the petitioner, who cracked IIT Dhanbad however couldn’t get admission since he missed the charge fee deadline, should be granted admission to IIT Dhanbad.
