GUWAHATI: Unidentified folks vandalised and set afire the ancestral home of Manipur BJP spokesman from the Thadou tribe, T Michael Lamjathang Haokip, in Churachandpur district Saturday. The arson occurred when members of the Kuki-Zo neighborhood have been taking out rallies demanding a separate administration and protesting in opposition to an audio clip containing objectionable feedback made allegedly by CM N Biren Singh.CMO has known as the audio doctored.
Final Sunday, unidentified folks vandalised Haokip’s personal home wherein his mother and father and 4 households displaced by the violence dwell. After the assault, a video appeared on social media of a person brandishing a gun and a bullet and threatening to kill Haokip. He filed a case saying two folks requested members of a WhatsApp group to homicide him and one in all them promised to present his “village land” to anybody who claims the lifetime of the BJP spokesperson.
The CM stated govt will punish the attackers and take motion in opposition to officers for not guaranteeing safety regardless of threats.
