Protests erupt in Jammu and Kashmir over killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah | Srinagar News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Protests erupted in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Budgam district on Wednesday following the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon, officers reported.
Demonstrations happened within the Magam market space and Budgam city, as individuals noticed the fourth day of mourning for Nasrallah.
The Hezbollah chief was killed on Saturday and buried a day later. Protestors, together with males, ladies, and kids, gathered on the principle roads carrying black flags.They chanted slogans towards Israel and the United States, condemning Nasrallah’s demise in Israeli airstrikes.
Officers talked about that whereas the protests remained largely peaceable, a major police presence was maintained to forestall any potential violence. Outlets within the Magam market and Budgam city had been closed throughout the protests, they added, noting that the scenario total remained calm.
