UP man walks into bank with suicide note, leaves with Rs 40 lakh – Times of India



SHAMLI: A masked man casually walked into the cabin of the supervisor of a personal financial institution in UP’s Shamli with a “suicide notice and a bag” round 2pm on Tuesday, claiming he had an excellent house mortgage of Rs 38.5 lakh and confronted imminent property public sale which might make his kids homeless.
He sat within the cabin for about half-hour and engaged the supervisor in a dialog relating to a mortgage.Immediately, he instructed the supervisor that he was carrying a gun and demanded Rs 40 lakh, threatening to both kill himself or the supervisor if his demand was not met.
Fearing for his life, the supervisor referred to as the cashier and rapidly handed over Rs 40 lakh to the person, who then left the premises. There have been round 25-26 folks, together with 10-12 staffers, on the Axis Financial institution department when the incident occurred. The supervisor and the cashier escorted the robber out as he had put the “gun” on the supervisor’s again.
Shamli SP Ramsevak Gautam mentioned, “The incident happened on the most important department of the financial institution at Dheemanpura in Shamli. Department supervisor, Naman Jain, couldn’t establish the robber, and didn’t see the weapon. Nonetheless, a guard on the financial institution claimed the suspect had a firearm.”
The SP mentioned, “Particular groups are engaged on this case. They’re wanting into all potential angles and are questioning the financial institution workers. “We’re but to obtain a proper grievance from the financial institution.”
Police mentioned a case has been registered within the matter.
