JSW Cement Ltd. mentioned it had commissioned a further two million tonnes each year (mtpa) capability at its plant in Vijayanagar in Karnataka, taking the whole capability of the plant to six mtpa.
With this enlargement, made at an funding of ₹461 crore, the general put in grinding capability of the corporate had gone as much as 20.6 mtpa, it mentioned in a press release.
The Vijayanagar facility, positioned alongside JSW Metal’s manufacturing plant, advantages from operational synergies throughout the group, particularly in sourcing uncooked supplies like blast furnace slag, enabling the manufacturing of eco-friendly cement and cementitious product, the corporate added.
Nilesh Narwekar, CEO of JSW Cement, mentioned, “This new capability at Vijayanagar is a major step in the direction of growing our total capability to 40.85 MTPA whereas sustaining our dedication to sustainability.”
