Union budget: Nirmala Sitharaman announces Rs 15,000 crore for new Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati | Vijayawada News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman whereas presenting the 2024-25 price range on Tuesday introduced Rs 15,000 crore for the event of Andhra Pradesh‘s Amaravati capital metropolis undertaking.
The undertaking was again on observe after the return of Telugu Desam Get together (TDP) an NDA ally within the Telugu state.
The TDP and the JD(U) in Bihar, had been vying for a particular standing for his or her respective state within the price range.
On July 17, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had met Union residence minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to hunt better budgetary allocation for key initiatives like Amaravati and Polavaram.
Earlier than that, the TDP chief had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as nicely.
Noteworthy, TDP is the second largest member of the NDA coalition after JD(U) on the Centre.
On Monday too, two Union ministers from the TDP had met Jal Shakti minister C R Patil looking for monetary assist for the Polavaram Irrigation undertaking within the state.
