Jobless man, 25, kidnaps minor cousin to clear education loan in UP | Meerut News – Times of India



BIJNOR: In a determined try to repay a hefty training mortgage, a 25-year-old unemployed man kidnapped his 11-year-old cousin and demanded ransom from his household. The boy was rescued from Ghaziabad on Saturday, a day after his abduction from Dhampur space of Bijnor, with one suspect arrested and the primary accused nonetheless at giant.
Gaurav Chauhan, 25, had taken a mortgage of Rs 17 lakh from his maternal uncle, Ashutosh Chauhan, 4 years in the past to pursue a BCA diploma.Unable to repay the mortgage, Gaurav teamed up with three mates – Arjun Tomar from Ghaziabad, Surya Pratap from Meemla, and Balli from Kanpur – and kidnapped his cousin Shashank when he was returning residence from college.
“They kidnapped Shashank when he was dropped off on the outskirts of the village and took him in a automobile and demanded ransom from his household,” stated Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha. With the assistance of a surveillance crew, police tracked down and arrested Arjun Tomar, rescuing Shashank from him. Nonetheless, Gaurav, Balli and Surya Pratap managed to flee.
“Arjun Tomar confessed to the crime. Gaurav had not too long ago shared his monetary woes and pressures from his household to discover a job and repay the mortgage.
