Actor’s convention centre in Hyderabad razed for ‘encroachment’ | India News – Times of India



HYDERABAD: Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni‘s state-of-the-art conference centre – touted as a “one-stop vacation spot for all events” – was pulled down by the newly-formed Hyderabad Catastrophe Response and Belongings Monitoring and Safety Company (HYDRA) on Saturday morning for allegedly encroaching upon Tummidikunta lake‘s full tank stage (FTL) space, stories Amisha Rajani.
Nagarjuna, who termed the demolition of N-Conference Centre “illegal” in a put up on X, approached Telangana excessive court docket, which ordered a keep on the demolition drive and issued notices to HYDRA and state govt.
HYDRA had razed nearly the whole construction by 11 am, whereas HC handed the keep order at 1.40 pm, asking the authorities to cease additional demolition. The conference centre is collectively owned by Nagarjuna and his pal N Preetham, and is managed by N3 Enterprises.
HYDRA’s motion got here following a criticism by roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who accused the actor of encroaching upon three-and-a-half acres of land, which was initially a part of Tummidikunta.
Defending the demolition, HYDRA commissioner A V Ranganath stated N-Conference was constructed within the FTL and buffer zones of the lake and didn’t have any constructing permissions.
