Haryana BJP urges Election Commission to defer assembly election; Congress hits back | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: The Haryana unit of the ruling BJP has requested the Election Commission to briefly postpone the meeting polls scheduled for October 1, drawing a pointy response from the Congress.

BJP is nervous: Congress

In response, the Congress dismissed the BJP’s issues, decoding them as an indication of the ruling social gathering’s nervousness forward of the elections. Congress MP Deepinder Hooda criticised the BJP’s arguments.

The present tenure of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha is about to finish on November 3.
