11 UP labourers going home for raksha bandhan die in accident | Meerut News – Times of India



MEERUT: No less than 11 labourers of a Ghaziabad-based agency, returning residence for Raksha Bandhan, have been killed and 26 individuals have been injured when their pick-up truck collided head-on with a bus on Meerut-Badaun state freeway at Salempur in Bulandshahr on Sunday.
Police mentioned round 10.30am, the bus collided with a truck whereas attempting to overhaul. The truck victims have been travelling from Ghaziabad to Aligarh whereas most injured bus passengers have been going to Bulandshahr.There have been greater than 20 labourers within the truck, locals mentioned.
District Justice of the Peace (DM) of Bulandshahr, Chandra Prakash Singh, mentioned, “Thirty-seven folks have been injured — some critically — and have been shifted to close by hospitals, the place 11 succumbed. Collision so intense truck overturned, says witness
The victims have been Mukut Singh, 35, Deena Nath, 45, Brijesh Singh, 18, Shishupal, 27, Babu Singh, 19, Giriraj Singh, 26, Omkar Singh, 30, Surajpal, 35, JP, 20, Mahesh Kumar, 21, all residents of Aligarh and Bulandshahr, police mentioned, including that one individual was but to be recognized.
An eyewitness, Dharmendra Singh, 19, resident of Aligarh, who misplaced his father Deena Nath within the accident, instructed TOI: “The collision was so intense that the truckoverturned on the street. The bus hit our automobile first whereas overtaking from the opposite lane. My dad and I have been travelling within the pick-up truck. He could not survive. We have been going residence for Raksha Bandhan.”
One other labourer, Satish Kumar, 30, mentioned he was supposed to go to residence within the truck however on the final second cancelled his journey and went together with his brother on a bike. “A few of these from our village who work within the agency had employed the pick-up truck to ferry them residence. Others joined them on the best way. Most of them are survived by infants and younger youngsters,” Kumar added.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed officers on Sunday to offer all attainable help. Minister of state, PWD, Brijesh Singh, who went to fulfill the victims and kin, mentioned, “Our precedence is to offer correct medical therapy.
