Govt to bring fresh broadcast bill draft after consultations | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: The data and broadcasting ministry on Monday prolonged the deadline for feedback and solutions on the draft Broadcasting Providers (Regulation) Invoice until Oct 15 and stated it could concern a revised draft primarily based on consultations that started final Nov.
The assertion from the ministry, posted on its X deal with, on the contentious set of proposals got here amid experiences that the draft was being withdrawn and that it had requested all stakeholders to return bodily copies given to them between July 24 and 25.
Sources within the ministry denied any such transfer and stated there could be additional consultations on the invoice.
