5 cops injured as IED planted by Naxals explode in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: At the very least 5 safety personnel had been injured on Sunday when a stress IED planted by Naxalites exploded in Chhattisgarh
The incident occurred within the Tarrem police station space in Bijapur when a crew of safety personnel was out on a demining train from Chinngelur CRPF camp within the space, reported information company PTI citing a police official.
Through the demining train, carried out to hint IEDs and dispose them, safety personnel noticed a wire linked to the stress IED.
The cop mentioned the explosion occurred once they had been looking the bomb linked to the wire, resulting in splinter injures to 5 personnel.
After being supplied preliminary remedy, the injured jawans had been shifted to Bijapur district hospital, the official mentioned, including that their situation was out of hazard.
In July, two safety personnel misplaced their lives and 4 had been injured in an IED blast throughout an anti-Maoist operation in forests of Bijapur in insurgency-hit Bastar area.
