39 dead, several missing after heavy rainfall triggers floods in Nepal – Times of India



A minimum of 39 folks died and 11 are reportedly lacking in Nepal as a result of devastating floods triggered by incessant rainfall, experiences information company PTI citing a Nepali media outlet.
9 had been killed within the capital Kathmandu, 16 in Lalitpur and 5 in Bhaktapur. Moreover, three died in Kavrepalanchowk, two every in Panchthar and Dhankuta, and one every from Jhapa and Dhading, based on myrepublica.com.
The Nepal Police reported that 226 homes submerged in Kathmandu and a rescue staff of roughly 3,000 safety personnel has been deployed to the affected areas.
“Police are working with different companies and locals to rescue and discover the lacking folks,” stated Basanta Adhikari, a spokesman for Nepal’s Nationwide Catastrophe Danger Discount and Administration Authority, instructed information company AFP.
