AGRA: Fifteen folks, together with 4 youngsters, 4 girls, and 7 males, had been killed, and 14 others had been injured in a head-on collision between a pick-up automobile and a Uttar Pradesh roadways bus close to Kapura intersection in Hathras on Agra-Aligarh nationwide freeway round 7.30pm on Friday.
The victims had been getting back from a funeral. Police and emergency providers transported the injured to a district hospital.
Victims, residents of Semera village in Khandauli block of Agra, had been returning house after attending final rites when the pick-up automobile, carrying round 30-35 folks, collided with a bus from Aligarh depot.
An eyewitness, Rakesh Gupta, stated, “The pick-up was trying to overhaul one other automobile when it crashed into the bus coming from wrong way.”
Hathras district Justice of the Peace Ashish Patel stated, “The injured have been handled within the hospital, and our bodies of the deceased have been despatched for postmortem. Additional investigation is underway.”
SP Nipun Agarwal additional added, “Fifteen folks died within the accident, and rescue operations are on. We’re investigating the reason for the crash.”
